program focus: lower hinge+upper push
A slow and steady hinge wins the race. In this class, we'll practice tempo heavy deadlifts (check written program for barbell recommendation) and double tempo standing overhead presses. Our finisher covers power (kettlebell swings)+push ups and band pull aparts to round out this lower hinge+upper push strength session.
key movements:
bilateral stance deadlifts (x2 heavy kettlebells, dumbbells, barbell)
standing strict presses (x1 moderate weight kettlebell or dumbbell)
two kettlebell swings (x1 heavy kettlebell you can swing for at least x10 reps consecutively)
offset push ups (x1 yoga block or medium sized kettlebell)
band pull aparts (x1 moderate weight band)
